Persistent Search for Motorcyclist Continues
Rescuers recovered the body of a motorcyclist who tragically crashed on the Taylor Southgate Bridge and fell into the Ohio River over the weekend. The 23-year-old's loved ones, who have chosen to remain unidentified, were supported by family, friends, and local authorities during the search efforts. Newport police reported that the accident occurred when the rider, traveling north on the bridge, collided with a stationary vehicle before being thrown over the side. The man's remains were located on Monday evening close to the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge and the Cincinnati riverbank, retrieved by the Boone County Water Rescue team. The recovery took place around 100 yards from the suspension bridge and 300 feet from the riverbank. While the body was transported to the Campbell County Coroner's Office, friends and family united to assist in the search, yearning to provide closure for his family. Family friend Tino Barbosa expressed gratitude for the support and unity displayed during the search mission. The man, who resided in Cincinnati and worked at a local Mexican eatery, was described as young, vibrant, and kind-hearted by his family. Despite search challenges due to debris in the water, the rescue teams, along with loved ones, persevered in their efforts. Prayers and positive thoughts were encouraged for the grieving family during this difficult time.
