Pedestrian struck and killed on DuSable Lake Shore Drive median
Tragically, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a pickup truck on DuSable Lake Shore Drive causing significant delays for morning commuters. The incident occurred around 5 a.m. in the 1100 block of South Lake Shore Drive, resulting in the death of a 72-year-old man. The driver remained on the scene and no citations were issued. Fortunately, all lanes on DuSable Lake Shore Drive were reopened before 9 a.m. after being closed between Roosevelt Road and Balbo Street.
