Pedestrian killed in Rotterdam Thruway collision
A fatal car crash occurred on the Thruway in Rotterdam Saturday night, resulting in the death of one individual, according to New York State Police. The incident happened just west of exit 25 with a pedestrian being hit by a passing car. The pedestrian sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Westbound lanes were shut down until early Sunday morning to allow for investigation and crash reconstruction before reopening. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by authorities.
