
Pedestrian killed in fatal North Phoenix intersection crash
On the evening of June 19, police responded to a fatal accident involving a pedestrian at an intersection in North Phoenix. The pedestrian, identified as 77-year-old Barbara Jean Greenwall, tragically passed away at the hospital due to her injuries. The incident occurred at the intersection of 7th Street and Thunderbird Road. According to Phoenix Police Department Sgt. Robert Scherer, Greenwall was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound while crossing Thunderbird Road midblock. Sgt. Scherer mentioned that impairment was not considered a contributing factor in the collision. The driver of the vehicle, which stayed at the scene, has not been named.
