Pedestrian killed in car collision after minor crash, authorities report
A man from Sanford tragically lost his life on Wednesday evening after being struck by a car while walking following a minor car accident in Pasco County, according to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers. The fatal incident occurred at approximately 10:17 p.m. on westbound State Road 56. The collision involved a Honda Civic driven by a 40-year-old Sanford man and a 34-year-old Sanford man who was walking. The pedestrian had been in a minor crash east of Shops Lane before walking into the path of the Honda Civic and being hit. Despite being taken to the hospital, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Honda Civic was unharmed in the accident.
