
Pedestrian killed after hit-and-run on U.S. 29 near Randleman Road exit; police investigating suspect vehicle
A man is dead after a hit-and-run on a major Triad interstate, according to the Greensboro Police Department. On Sunday around 6:35 a.m., officers said they responded to U.S. 29 north and the I-40 east merge near the Randleman Road exit in reference to a crash involving a pedestrian. The crash initially caused a temporary closure to parts of I-85 Business northbound at Rehobeth Church Road.When police arrived on the scene, they said they found a man lying in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. At this time, he has not been identified.
