Pedestrian hit by car on Pennsylvania Turnpike in Fort Washington, according to emergency personnel

Emergency officials in Montgomery County reported that an individual was hit by a vehicle on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Fort Washington on Wednesday. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the westbound lanes close to Route 309, resulting in a temporary closure. Two lanes have since been reopened. The victim, who sustained serious injuries, was airlifted to the hospital for treatment, as confirmed by local authorities.
