Pedestrian fatally struck on I-75 in Auburn Hills, according to police
A tragic incident occurred Friday overnight when a man was struck and killed while crossing southbound I-75 near his hotel in Auburn Hills, according to authorities. The collision occurred after midnight on southbound I-75 and Chrysler Drive. The pedestrian, a 40-year-old resident of Oakland County, was wearing dark clothing at the time of the accident. Sadly, he was hit by a black Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 40-year-old man from Ohio. The victim was found deceased by the responding officers. The driver of the Jetta stopped at the scene, contacted emergency services, and is fully cooperating with the investigation. The Southeast Oakland County Crash Investigation Team is looking into the crash, and witnesses are urged to contact Auburn Hills police for any information.
