Pastors in Melbourne rescue woman from car following I-95 plane crash: 'God had the steering wheel'
Two Central Florida pastors quickly came to the aid of a woman whose car was hit by a small airplane on Interstate 95 Monday evening, according to authorities and witnesses. Annie and Bernard Wigley sprang into action, with Annie pulling the driver out of the vehicle while Bernard recorded the intense moment. A small plane crashed into the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Brevard County during rush hour traffic, hitting at least one car and causing one person to be hospitalized. The crash occurred near mile marker 201 in Cocoa, Florida. The aircraft involved, a fixed-wing multi-engine Beechcraft 55, was attempting an emergency landing on the freeway when it collided with a Toyota Camry. The two individuals on board the plane, including the pilot and a passenger, both 27-year-old men, were fortunately unharmed. The Wigleys, who are pastors at Thy Kingdom Come ministries in Melbourne, were on their way to the airport when they witnessed the crash and rushed to help. They credited divine intervention for ensuring the safety of all involved, expressing gratitude that the situation did not escalate into a more catastrophic event. The Federal Aviation Administration is currently investigating the cause of the crash, and there is no update on the condition of the woman who was hospitalized.
