Passenger killed in pickup truck crash causing power outage; School shifts to remote learning
A man was fatally injured in a car accident in York County, as reported by the local coroner's office. The tragic incident occurred in Fairview Township on Valley Road around 1:20 a.m. on Friday. The coroner's report revealed that a pickup truck collided with several telephone poles, causing the vehicle to overturn multiple times. One male passenger was ejected from the truck and sadly lost his life at the crash site. It's uncertain whether he was wearing a seatbelt at the time. Authorities have not disclosed the victim's identity or confirmed the number of occupants in the truck. The collision caused a power outage affecting about 20 customers, with the estimated restoration time set for 2 p.m. Valley Road has been shut down between Beinhower Road and Tassel Lane.
