
Passenger killed in intersection crash; 3 others injured
A crash between two vehicles Saturday afternoon killed a passenger in one car, while both drivers and another passenger were injured and taken to the hospital, an Albuquerque Police Department news release said.When APD officers arrived at Coors Boulevard and Bluewater Road NW, they saw a gold Toyota Solara and a silver Ford Explorer on the northeast corner of the intersection. The rear end of the Toyota was on top of the hood of the Ford.The passenger in the Toyota died at the scene. Both drivers and the passenger in the Ford were taken to the hospital, where all three were reported in stable condition, the release said.APD's fatal traffic unit is investigating the crash, and determined that the Toyota was at the intersection on southbound Coors, making a left turn, when the Ford went through the intersection on northbound Coors when the light was yellow and hit the passenger's side of the Toyota.Neither car was speeding, and there was no indication that either driver was under the influence or alcohol or drugs, the release said.
