A tragic incident occurred on Interstate 205 in Tracy early Saturday morning, resulting in the death of a passenger after their vehicle collided with a disabled big rig, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision took place shortly after 6 a.m. on eastbound I-205 near MacArthur Boulevard. Reportedly, a Toyota veered across multiple lanes before hitting the truck on the right shoulder. The impact caused the Toyota's right side to strike the left rear of the trailer, leading to the passenger being thrown from the vehicle and fatally injured. The CHP has stated that alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor and the investigation is ongoing. The victim's identity has not yet been disclosed, and it is unclear if there were any additional injuries.
