Passenger dies in fatal crash on I-64 in Norfolk
NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- One person has died following a two-vehicle crash in Norfolk on Saturday evening, according to Virginia State Police. The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of I-64 at the 282 exit on Northampton Boulevard. As a result of the accident, one driver has been taken to Norfolk General Hospital, and one passenger has succumbed to their injuries. Another driver is in custody for driving under the influence. The eastbound lanes of I-64 are currently shut down due to VSP investigating the crash.
