Paramedic killed off-duty trying to assist man in I-95 accident

A tragic incident occurred on Interstate 91 in Florida where a paramedic from Gaston County, North Carolina lost her life while trying to assist victims of a series of crashes. The authorities reported that the sequence of events began with a collision between two vehicles on I-95 near Mims in the early hours of the morning. The initial crash set off a chain reaction involving multiple vehicles and pedestrians. Detailed investigation revealed that a 33-year-old driver of a Chevy Impala attempted to change lanes and collided with a Volkswagen, causing a series of additional crashes. The paramedic, Mary Jolly, selflessly stepped out of her own vehicle to aid the victims but tragically got struck in the process. Both the driver of the Impala and Mary Jolly ultimately succumbed to their injuries.
