Panama City Beach man receives 15-year sentence for deadly accident on Front Beach Road
A man from Panama City Beach was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the death of Thomas Lyon, who was tragically killed while celebrating his anniversary with his family. The incident occurred when the man, identified as Casey Rattan, was driving recklessly on Front Beach Road and struck Lyon, who heroically saved his children and nephew from harm. Rattan was found guilty of second-degree murder, DUI manslaughter, and vehicular homicide, and must serve at least four years in prison. Additionally, his driver's license is permanently revoked, and he is required to pay $7,500 in restitution.
