Ottawa police seeking suspects in theft and dealership crash.
Multiple burglary suspects are being sought by police from various Kansas counties after crashing into an Ottawa dealership and making off with a Dodge Challenger. The incident occurred during the early hours on Sunday, as reported by the Ottawa Police Department. Witnesses stated that the suspects used a vehicle to break into Victory Dodge Ottawa, located near East 23rd and South Oak Street, and stole a 2023 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Jailbreak Edition. After the theft, the suspects fled north on Interstate 35, prompting a pursuit that involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Wellsville Police Department and Overland Park Police Department. Despite tire deflation attempts by Overland Park officers, the suspects managed to evade capture, driving into Kansas City, Missouri. Ottawa police detectives are leading the investigation and collaborating with other agencies involved in apprehending the suspects.
