One-year-old killed in car accident in McDonald County
A tragic incident in Goodman, Missouri has resulted in the death of a one-year-old child after a car crash, as reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The collision occurred at around 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, when a 22-year-old woman, accompanied by the infant, collided with a 55-year-old man driving a towed unit of a 2025 Freightliner Cascadia semi-truck. The infant was rushed to Freeman Neosho Hospital where they were sadly pronounced deceased. Both the woman and the man sustained minor injuries from the crash. According to the crash report, the accident was caused by an animal on the road, one mile south of Goodman. This marks the 34th fatality for MSHP Troop D in 2025.
