One woman dead, former Penn State wide receiver injured in ATV crash

A woman died and a former Penn State wide receiver was injured after an ATV crash in Bradford County, Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania State Police responded to the crash on Painter Lick Lane in Columbia Township around 8:15 p.m. Friday. Police say the ATV was traveling northbound on Painter Lick Lane when it hit a deer that jumped into the roadway. The passenger of the ATV was identified as 23-year-old Alyssa Boyd. Police say she was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified the driver of the ATV as 24-year-old Julian Fleming. Fleming was sent to the hospital with suspected serious injuries. Boyd and Fleming were reportedly not wearing safety equipment at the time of the crash. Fleming played for Ohio State University until he transferred to Penn State in 2024. He went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft before signing with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent. The crash is under investigation.
