One person hurt in collision between 2 semi trucks in Grundy County
A collision between two semi trucks and three other vehicles, along with a significant amount of debris, led to the closure of the westbound lanes on I-80 in Grundy County, Illinois on Thursday morning. The incident occurred around 5:53 a.m. near the Three Rivers rest area, which is situated between Minooka and Morris. Among the vehicles involved were two semis, one of which was carrying small metal parts that scattered across all lanes. Emergency services transported one individual to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, with no current update on their condition. Fortunately, the westbound lanes have since been reopened to traffic.
