One killed in crash on K-42
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- Emergency crews and investigators are on the scene of a fatal crash involving a semi and another vehicle west of Viola. The crash happened around 1 p.m. Friday on Kansas Highway 42 near 279th Street West. Sedgwick County dispatchers confirm that one person has died and another person has potentially serious injuries. KSN News has a crew on the way to the scene and will update information as it becomes available. In the meantime, the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office says the highway is closed in both directions and will remain closed for an extended period of time.
