A crash occurred on Wednesday evening near Hinckley, Minnesota, resulting in the death of a 63-year-old man and injuries to four others. The accident involved two pick-up trucks on Highway 48 at Wildlife Road in Pine County's Barry Township. The man who passed away was heading east on the highway when his vehicle was hit by a truck traveling south on Wildlife Road. The driver of the southbound truck, a 40-year-old man from Cambridge, and two passengers, a man and a woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Another male passenger has life-threatening injuries. The authorities mentioned that the driver of the southbound truck was not intoxicated, while it is unknown if he and his passengers were wearing seat belts. The deceased driver was wearing a seatbelt, and it is uncertain if alcohol was a factor in his case. The Minnesota State Patrol is conducting an investigation into the incident. This year, Minnesota has experienced close to 160 fatal crashes, resulting in almost 170 deaths, slightly lower than this time last year.
