One injured in plane crash near Deer Valley Airport
Early Friday morning, a small plane crashed near Deer Valley Airport in north Phoenix. Firefighters received the call about an aircraft down around 5:30 a.m. in the vicinity of 7th Street and Pinnacle Peak Road. Upon arrival, they discovered a Cessna C-150 plane overturned in a field near the airport. Two individuals were said to be aboard the plane during the crash, leading to a fire that firefighters had to put out. One of the occupants sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. The cause of the crash remains unknown as the FAA is conducting an investigation.
