One individual transported by helicopter after multiple vehicle collision on Route 58
A casualty was transported by Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance after a collision involving multiple vehicles on Route 58 heading west near Godwin Boulevard. The incident took place on Sunday at 10:45 a.m., and fortunately, there were no other reported injuries. Both eastbound and westbound lanes were shut down for an hour. By 11:40 a.m., Suffolk Police had reopened one lane in each direction.
