One individual severely hurt in Uintas helicopter crash
A helicopter accident occurred in the Uinta Mountains of Wasatch County, Utah on Sunday, resulting in one individual being critically injured and transported to a hospital. The incident was reported to the authorities via a 9-1-1 text not long after 3 p.m., revealing that the helicopter had gone down near Wolf Creek Campground, close to State Route 35. Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered that there were four occupants onboard, with one sustaining a severe head injury that warranted airlift to a medical facility. The remaining three passengers were examined at the location but did not require hospitalization. The National Transportation Safety Board is conducting an investigation into the crash involving a Bell 206 helicopter. Eyewitness Wes Blazzard recounted the event to FOX 13 News, noting that he and his family witnessed the crash while preparing to snowmobile. Blazzard described two helicopters in the vicinity, with the smaller one landing first, followed by the Bell 206, which descended, hovered momentarily, and then ascended before losing control and crashing into the trees.
