One fatality and two injuries in Rankin County accident
A tragic incident occurred in Rankin County where a 19-year-old man from Ellisville lost his life in a car accident. The authorities were called to Diamond D. Lake Road near Woodrow Martin Road close to the Puckett community at around 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Upon arrival, they discovered a vehicle that had veered off the road and collided with a tree. The Rankin County Sheriff's Office reported that Joshua Blake Cooper II passed away at the scene, while the other two individuals in the vehicle were transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center and are currently in stable condition. The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Rankin County Sheriff's Department Accident Reconstruction Unit.
