One dead in rollover accident, closing all southbound lanes of West Loop 820 near Fort Worth
All southbound lanes of West Loop 820 at Silver Creek Road have reopened after a rollover accident killed one person and caused hourslong delays. Fort Worth police officers were dispatched to the scene about 12:25 p.m. where investigators determined a vehicle had struck a bridge pillar and rolled over. Officers said the unidentified and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene. As of 3:57 p.m., Texas Department of Transportation cameras showed traffic being directed to the nearest exit. Lanes reopened shortly before 6 p.m. White Settlement said Fort Worth police departments will conduct the investigation. Major delays were expected in the area, and officials urged drivers to find another route.
