
One Dead in Fatal Semi Collision Closes I-69 in Fishers
A serious collision between two semi-trucks on Interstate 69 near Fishers caused a fatality and the complete closure of the highway in both directions on Thursday afternoon. The incident took place around 1:45 p.m., as reported by the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT). One of the trucks caught fire after the crash. Emergency responders are at the scene, and while one death has been confirmed, it is unknown if there are additional injuries. At the latest report, northbound I-69 has reopened, but southbound remains closed. The Fishers Police Department indicated that traffic is being directed off the interstate near exit 210 (116th Street/SR 37), with updates forthcoming as the situation develops.
