
One dead in crash ‘involving pedestrians’ in Carlisle
CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -- One person is dead after two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in Carlisle on Friday night. According to the Carlisle Police Department, crews responded to a reported motor vehicle crash involving pedestrians at 8:17 p.m. at the intersection of South Hanover Street and West Pomfret Street. Police said two pedestrians were struck in the collision, and one has passed away. The condition of the second victim is unknown at this time. The operator of the vehicle was arrested. Their identity is unknown. An abc27 News photojournalist found South Hanover Street closed with police tape across the road. The road was closed following the incident, but it has since reopened.
