One dead after crash into box truck in southeast Fresno
A woman is dead after a crash into a portable classroom on Monday morning in southeast Fresno. The crash is at Annadale and Chestnut Venues. California Highway Patrol says a woman in an Acura was travelling north on Chestnut at Annandale. At the same time, a portable classroom that was pulling out west from an off-street parking area, directly into the path of the Acura. The woman was unable to move out of the way and crash into the classroom trailer. The Acura then continued an extra 1,000 feet before coming to a stop. The woman received major injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the portable classroom had no injuries and stayed on scene to cooperate with officers. CHP says the message this morning is to always pay attention no matter where you’re driving because tragedy can happen in a blink of an eye.
