One car on its side after two-car crash in Champaign
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) -- Multiple Champaign emergency agencies responded to a two-car accident in Champaign Thursday afternoon. Shortly before 5 p.m., an accident occurred in which a red car heading north on Neil St. hit a black car turning left onto E Green St., causing the black car to flip onto its side. The Champaign Police Department, Champaign Fire Department and two Advanced Medical Transport ambulances reported to the scene. According to the Champaign Police Department, no major injuries have been reported at this time. There are currently lane closures at the intersection and the department is working to clear the vehicles from the scene. Drivers are asked to avoid the area. There is no further information at this time. This is a developing story. WCIA will continue to update it as new information is received.
