Tragic news out of Great Falls as a man sadly lost his life in a single-vehicle accident close to Butte on Sunday, Oct. 2025. The incident occurred near mile marker 132 on Interstate 15 around 3:45 p.m. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the 49-year-old Butte resident was heading south on I-15 when his Honda Ridgeline veered off the road, leading to a collision with a delineator post and the vehicle overturning. Despite the lack of seatbelt use, the man was thrown from the car upon impact and passed away at the crash site. The victim, who was the sole person in the vehicle, has not been identified yet. The MHP crash report indicated that factors like alcohol, drugs, and speed were not contributing causes to the accident.
