Oklahoma man charged after fatal crash involving We Energies surveyor
A man had a cellphone and a laptop connected to a power station running in his vehicle when he struck and killed a We Energies surveyor Thursday morning in Walworth County, according to court records. The Walworth County Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 20 that had struck a pedestrian. Callers also reported an unresponsive male in the middle of Highway 20 and Townline Road.The driver, identified as Raschad R. The victim, a 65-year-old from New Berlin, was pronounced dead by the Walworth County Medical Examiner's Office.We Energies confirmed the victim was an employee conducting survey work in Walworth County when the crash occurred.Following a preliminary investigation, Johnson was arrested for homicide by negligent use of a motor vehicle.It’s about time to watch on your time.
