
Ohio Turnpike shut down for hours in Portage County due to semi-truck accident
A traffic incident on the Ohio Turnpike on Friday morning caused significant delays for drivers. According to a report from FOX 8's Patty Harken around 8 a.m., a semi-truck had collided and overturned in a construction area. Both eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 80, in the vicinity of mile marker 188 to 192 close to state Route 43, were closed off. By approximately 9:30 a.m., the westbound lanes were accessible again, while the eastbound lanes were back in operation later that Friday afternoon. Fortunately, no injuries were documented.
