
Official: Multiple vehicles crash injures child and 3 others in Gaithersburg
Multiple individuals, including a child, were injured in a multi-vehicle crash that occurred in Gaithersburg on Saturday morning. Emergency crews were dispatched to the intersection of S. Frederick Avenue and S. Westland Drive at approximately 10:30 a.m. Following the incident, images shared by the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service displayed significant damage to a pickup truck and another car involved in the collision. According to David Pazos from the MCFRS, a total of three vehicles were part of the crash, with one of them declining medical assessment. The child, who was traveling with two adults in the truck, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Additionally, both adults received treatment on-site for their injuries, deemed non-life-threatening. Authorities reported that the driver of the car also suffered non-life-threatening trauma and was transported to the hospital. Route 355 was temporarily closed as emergency crews addressed the aftermath of the crash, and as of now, the cause of the collision remains uncertain.
