Officer killed in Upstate crash, officials say
South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Greenwood that left an officer with the Greenwood Police Department dead.The crash happened in the area of East Cambridge Avenue on Monday evening.The name of the officer has not been released at this time. There is no word on other injuries at this time, although Sky 4 saw what appeared to be two vehicles involved in the crash.We are told a press conference will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Greenwood City Hall.Officers said this remains an active investigation, and no further information will be shared until Tuesday morning.Keep up with what's happening around our area by downloading the WYFF News 4 app on the App Store or Google Play.
