Officer from Bossier City in serious crash, I-220 closed
A Bossier City Police Officer was in a serious accident on I-220 on Wednesday evening, with reports of significant damage to both vehicles involved. The accident occurred when the officer was positioning his vehicle on the eastbound lane to clear debris from the road. Fortunately, both the officer and the driver of the other vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital. Due to the accident, access to I-220 from North Market Road was closed for about an hour. The incident is currently under investigation by the Louisiana State Police and Bossier City Police.
