Off-duty firefighter dies in motorcycle accident on West Hundred Road in Chesterfield
A tragic incident occurred on Friday afternoon on West Hundred Road, resulting in the untimely death of off-duty firefighter Sammy Ershidat in a motorcycle crash. The 23-year-old was riding eastbound when he collided with a vehicle exiting Grand Oaks Apartments. Despite being taken to the hospital, Ershidat succumbed to his injuries. He had been a dedicated firefighter with Chesterfield County Fire and EMS for almost two years and was stationed at Fire Station 11. While authorities investigate the crash, Fire Chief Edward L. Senter, Jr. expressed deep sorrow for the loss and requested the community to keep Ershidat's family and colleagues in their prayers during this difficult time.
