
Numerous people hurt in car accident outside club in East Hollywood.
Early on Saturday morning, a car crashed into a group of people outside a nightclub in East Hollywood, leading to numerous injuries. According to Capt. Adam Van Gerpen of the Los Angeles City Fire Department, the incident occurred as people were waiting to enter the nightclub on Santa Monica Boulevard. Approximately 30 individuals were injured, with 23 requiring medical attention, and three were in critical condition. Most of those waiting were women, and the driver also hit a taco truck and valet stand. In response to the situation, bystanders reportedly attacked the driver, who was later discovered with a gunshot wound. Police are searching for the suspected shooter, described as a man in a blue jersey with a silver revolver. It remains unclear if the driver was shot before or after the crash, and authorities have not specified whether the crash was intentional or disclosed any possible motives. The driver, whose identity is unknown, was found in a Nissan Versa and taken to a hospital. The nightclub, Vermont Hollywood, was hosting a reggae/hip hop event during the time of the incident.
