A man from northern Iowa has passed away due to injuries sustained in a fireworks mishap. Authorities were alerted by a 911 call on Tuesday evening reporting a man injured while setting off fireworks in Whittemore. First responders, including Kossuth County and Whittemore EMS, arrived at the scene and discovered Patrick Prentice, 33, who was later taken to Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona, but unfortunately did not survive.
