No drugs involved in fatal crash by big-rig driver in Ontario
The truck driver accused of causing a fatal chain-reaction collision that resulted in three deaths in Ontario last month will no longer be charged with driving under the influence. Jashanpreet Singh, a 21-year-old resident of Yuba City, was accused of crashing his speeding truck into slow-moving vehicles on the 10 Freeway on Oct. 21, leading to the tragic incident. Although initial reports suggested Singh was under the influence of drugs, the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office later confirmed that toxicology reports did not support these claims. Despite this development, Singh still faces charges of grossly negligent homicide and other related charges. He is currently held without bail at High Desert Jail and was set to appear in Rancho Superior Court on Thursday morning.
