No charges for Knox County deputy in deadly July crash.

A Knox County deputy, Michael Ashurst, was not charged following a fatal accident in July. The Knox County Grand Jury chose not to indict Ashurst after a crash that took the life of Todd St. John in Corbin. The incident involved a collision between two men and the deputy during a traffic stop. St. John lost his life as a result of the crash. The passenger, Jerry Stewart, and the deputy were unharmed in the incident. Efforts to obtain comments from Kentucky State Police and the Commonwealth's Attorney by FOX 56 News have not yielded responses.
