Nine individuals hospitalized, two in critical condition following I-35 crash in Denton County

Nine individuals, with two in critical condition, were hospitalized following a multiple-vehicle collision on the northbound side of I-35 near Milam Road, located north of Denton. Denton Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. Six ambulances and emergency teams arrived at the scene promptly. A CBS News Texas Chopper flying over the area captured footage of a passenger van and several other vehicles involved in the accident. Authorities have advised drivers to anticipate delays lasting several hours and to seek alternative routes to avoid the area. The duration of the road closure is uncertain as investigations are ongoing. This marks the second significant accident on I-35 in as many days handled by Denton police. The previous day, a fatal collision on I-35W near Vintage Boulevard involving an RV and six other vehicles resulted in one fatality and six injuries, causing substantial traffic congestion.
