
Nicole Havrda from F1 Academy moved to hospital post-Singapore crash
American Express Hitech TGR F1 Academy driver Nicole Havrda was taken to the hospital for precautionary evaluations after a crash during Race 1 of Round 6 in Singapore. The Canadian-Czech driver collided with the wall on the first lap after starting from 17th on the grid. F1 Academy has confirmed in a statement that Havrda is undergoing checks at Singapore General Hospital. In an Instagram update, Havrda mentioned she is feeling okay but bruised her hand during the crash. Lia Block, supported by Williams, won her first F1 Academy race in Singapore, followed by Maya Weug and Chloe Chambers in second and third places respectively. Havrda has until Sunday, October 5, to recover for Race 2, scheduled for 15:25 local time. Despite being in her debut season, Havrda is currently 17th in the standings with one point from Race 1 in Montreal. She started her racing career in 2020 and has since competed in various championships, including the W Series and the Indian Racing League. Havrda's achievements include winning the Formula Pro USA Winter Series in 2023 and racing in the Formula Regional Americas Championship. She is also participating in the 2025 Formula 4 CEZ Championship for JMT Racing.
