New information revealed in deadly Lake County accident
Further details have emerged about a tragic incident that occurred on Tuesday morning in the Mission Valley area. The Montana Highway Patrol disclosed that a 73-year-old female resident of Saltese passed away following a car accident on U.S. Highway 93, just south of St. Ignatius. The lady lost control of her Mercedes-Benz while heading north near mile marker 30 around 9 a.m. The vehicle veered off the right side of the road, went airborne, and ultimately flipped onto its side. Sadly, the victim, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities suspect that the involvement of drugs, alcohol, and high speed may have contributed to the crash.
