New information on fatal crash on Staples Mill Road
A 46-year-old man from Henrico County lost his life on Monday evening after crashing into multiple utility poles, possibly due to a medical emergency. The incident took place at the intersection of Hungary Spring Road and Staples Mill Road around 6:30 p.m. The driver, identified as Tony Darrell Volley, was the only person in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators suspect that Volley may have experienced a medical emergency before the collision. The Henrico Police Department is collaborating with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the exact cause and manner of death. This investigation is ongoing.
