New information about fatal I-15 collision near Las Vegas leading to extended traffic congestion

New information has been revealed about a fatal accident on I-15, approximately 70 miles northeast of Las Vegas, which caused significant delays for motorists. The incident involved a Kia colliding with a construction vehicle on the left side of the freeway, resulting in the death of the Kia's driver, identified as 22-year-old William Rance Bill from St. George, Utah. The passenger in the Kia sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The crash occurred on the southbound I-15 around 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, near Mesquite. Traffic congestion and stranded vehicles were reported as a result of the accident, with many drivers going off-road and becoming stuck. Authorities stated that the construction vehicle had its warning lights on while the driver was setting up construction signs when the Kia driver failed to adhere to the move over law for approaching highway maintenance vehicles.
