New details on fatal Cypress rollover crash involving woman identified
New details have been released by Harris County officials regarding the fatal car accident that occurred on Saturday in the Cypress area. The Harris County Sheriff's Office stated that the driver, identified as Charlotte Yvette Stegall, tragically lost her life in the incident. The accident took place around 3 p.m. on Cypress North Houston Road when Stegall's vehicle veered into the eastbound lanes, struck multiple fences, and rolled onto its right side before coming to a halt. Despite efforts, Stegall was unable to be rescued from the vehicle and was found deceased at the scene. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported as Stegall was the sole occupant. The collision resulted in a power outage in the neighborhood, which was addressed by CenterPoint's response. To assist with the situation, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez provided updates on the crash, indicating that a gas BBQ bill ignited a brief fire. The incident remains under investigation, and details on what led Stegall to drive off the road are yet to be determined.
