Neighbor responds to cyclist hit by car in Sheboygan hit-and-run

On Sunday evening around 5 o'clock, a car hit a bicyclist near High Avenue on Lakeshore Drive, as reported by Sheboygan police. Greg Petrine, who was on his usual walk in the neighborhood the next day, came across the injured man involved in the accident. The man was seen looking for his glasses and vape, likely thrown into the lawn during the collision. Petrine noted the man's injuries, including a sling on his arm, road rash, and bandages, indicating he was badly hurt. Fortunately, a kind-hearted bystander drove the injured man home after the incident. Recalling his own hit-and-run car accident in town, Petrine empathized with the bicyclist's frustration. He emphasized the need for drivers to obey the speed limit, pointing out that many motorists exceed the 20-25 mph restriction on the road. To assist the investigation into the hit-and-run, individuals with relevant information are urged to contact Sheboygan police at 920-459-3333.
