Negative toxicology tests in Miami Beach sailboat crash killing two girls

The U.S. Coast Guard has reported that toxicology tests conducted on individuals involved in the tragic sailboat accident off Miami Beach, which resulted in the deaths of two young girls, have all yielded negative results. Alcohol and drug testing was carried out on those on the tug, barge, and sailboat, with no substances found in their systems. The Coast Guard urges patience as the investigation continues. The medical examiner has confirmed that 7-year-old Mila Yankelevich and 13-year-old Erin Ko Han died from accidental drowning. The accident occurred in Biscayne Bay when the sailboat they were on collided with a barge involved in construction work in the Miami Beach area. Some campers onboard were injured, with two remaining hospitalized. The children were part of a summer sailing camp organized by the Miami Yacht Club and the Miami Youth Sailing Foundation.
