An early morning collision caused extensive damage to multiple vehicles on the south side of Milwaukee. Emergency crews spent a significant amount of time on Sunday morning clearing the area near 6th & Hayes. According to witnesses interviewed by 12 News, a car crash resulted in wreckage along a bustling residential street. During their coverage of the incident, the photographer observed that at least five vehicles sustained serious damage, including a van that had flipped onto its side and was visibly burnt. Local residents near the crash site mentioned that the van driver was speeding, leading to a collision with a white car and causing a chain reaction with other nearby vehicles. One of the vehicle owners affected, Welton McIntyre, expressed frustration over the lack of action to address speeding issues in the area, emphasizing the danger it poses to the community. Neighbors shared concerns about the high number of young families and children residing in the neighborhood.
